Next Week ... 2 May 2011

Hi Girls,

Hope you've all been  keeping well and had a lovely Easter break.

I know this email and blog entry should contain the next three month newsletter, but I have been having a hard time getting it all done!!
With holidays, musical rehearsals and performances, school holidays...the list goes on and there's just not enough hours in the day!  I did try to get it finished and even took the pages and computer away with me in the caravan over Easter, but I only got to work on it for a couple of hours, not nearly enough time to finish.  Oh well, I will give you the info for next weeks workshop.  Hanging out for the kids to go back to school.... that will give all us mum's a huge time out and sigh of relief!

You can now sign up to this blog via email.  I have added the follow button over there on the right.  You just need to put in your email and when I update the blog you will get an email in your inbox letting you know!

Next Weeks Workshop is - Page Maps   $20
Monday 7-9pm; Wednesday 12.30-2.30pm and Thursday 9.30-11.30am

Here is the sketch I based my layout on, it was a 8 1/2 x 11" double page that I stretched to be a 12x12" page, hence the different photo sizes.  This is a great exercise as it teaches you that you are not limited by the sketch and are free to change elements to suit your papers, photos, journaling or embellishments.
This months page map uses a selection of papers and photos. I chose to do some Christmas photos and use some of the cute Christmas papers in the shop.  You will need 2 landscape photos @ 4x6” and 1 portrait photo @ 2x3”.  You will also need your basic tool kit, border punch, inks, title (I used stickers), embroidery needle and paper piercer.

The next Scrap'n'Roast date is the 28th May, 4pm - midnight.  Bookings now open.  A $5 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking.

How's this for a glorious sunset???  Looking out from our caravan site over Lake Albert - just stunning.
 A campfire every night...

Kids having fun with sparklers!

The Coorong -  bit of beach 4wd'ing fun.

Hope you had fun playing with your camera over Easter like I did!  Can't wait to see some of your results.

Happy Scrapping,
Mandy :-)
