Hi everyone!!
Been a bit slack updating this weekly, you know how it gets sometimes and you have sooooo much to do! Well, it hasn't stopped yet, I am looking forward to a rest after Christmas! I hope you are all well and not quite as busy as me :-)
This weekend (the 30th) there is supposed to be a Scrap'n'Roast. As I have had no bookings for this evening, I have cancelled it. The next Scrap'n'Roast will the be the Christmas Scrap'n'Roast on Sunday 15th December starting at 12pm. Bookings are not going too well for this event either, actually I am the only one booked in, so it is in danger of also being cancelled. I know it is a Sunday, but unfortunately I have band Christmas carols and functions on all Saturday nights except the 21st and I thought that was just a little too close to Christmas. Please, if you are thinking of coming along can you please let me know.
The December newsletter is up on the blog where you can read it online or download to your computer and print it out if you like a hard copy-

Attack Your Stash $10
Monday 7-9pm and Thursday 9.30-11.30am
Last Christmas I tried to do a banner swap, which didn’t eventuate...so this year I thought we would do it as a class, that way it won’t be so daunting!!
You will need to work out your Christmas word - Merry Christmas, Ho Ho Ho, Rejoice, Xmas, Joy, etc… This will determine how much of your stash you will need to bring along, lol! Now you can choose traditional chrissy colours, or you can make it in any colour scheme you like :-)
You will need 4 different pattern papers or cardstock (I’m using a combination of both), you will get four to five banners from a full piece of paper/cardstock. So if you choose ‘Merry Christmas’ you will need - 12 in total. Confused!! It’s okay. Each banner doesn’t need to be the same, but I am going the make the back layer of mine all the same cardstock, just for continuity. You will also need your inks, christmas embellishments, christmas/flower punches, glitter, mounting foam, string/baker’s twine/ribbon long enough for the whole banner and most importantly, your letters for your Christmas word!
Art Journal Workshop $19
Friday 6th December 1-3pm and 7-9pm
Dig out your glimmermists, we are going to have fun creating a wonderful background using glimmer glam as a resist :-) Included in the workshop is a bottle of glimmer glam! We will NOT be gessoing our page for this journal entry, we will be using the book paper as it is. We will be using my stamp set of weed type flowers & grasses for the base. You will need to bring your art journal, glimmermists (I used 3 colours), background type stamps (I used text, music, bubblewrap), glitter, stencil (I used butterflies), texture paste, black stazon ink, small paintbrush.
Our saying for this journal page is - “Just living is not enough,” said the butterfly, “one must have sunshine, freedom and a little flower.” Hans Christian Andersen
Happy Scrapping,
Mandy :-)
