Next Week ... 30th April 2012

Hi everyone :-)

Phew!  Finally finished the newsletter - Yay!!!!  You can find it on the Newsletter page of my site or you can click here. Please take the time to read the newsletter with a hot cup of coffee (or my favourite, hot chocolate!) as there is a lot of information regarding my business and workshops.

Next weeks workshop is ...
Monday 7-9pm; Wednesday 12.30-2.30pm and Thursday 9.30-11.30am
Something a little different in the execution of this page map.  We are going to be creating our circle by stamping  and it looks pretty cool!  You will need 6 photos for this layout.  One landscape @ 4”x6” and 5 @ 3”x3”.  You will also need your basic tool kit, inks, stazon ink, paper piercer, embroidery needle, small circle punch and your title.

The Introduction to Copic Markers workshops are on soon.  If you are interested click here to book in or click here to contact me.
5th or 26th May 2012,
1-3:30pm.  $40
The time has come, the walrus said, to talk of other things… If you have been interested in Copic Markers but have never seen them in action, this is the workshop for you!!!  You will get to play, learn some basic blending techniques and make a card with your coloured image.  Workshop includes 3 Ciao markers to begin your collection, images printed onto X-press It Blending Card (enough to make 6 cards), 6 pack of cards, printed paper (for card), Copic hand colour chart (printed on X-press It Blending Card) and a small stamp set.  You will need to bring your basic tool kit, inks and foam mounting tape.
Bookings essential. Deposit of $10 at time of booking with the balance to be paid in full 7 days before the workshop.

Scrap'n'Roast  $20
5th May 4pm - Midnight
Come along on a Saturday afternoon & evening for 8 hours of scrapping fun!  Bring your photos & tools then crop the night away.  A roast hot from the Weber & salad will be served for dinner.  Softies in the fridge and the kettle is always handy for a cuppa!  There are always nibbles on the table ...and yes - you might get some scrapping done!!!
$10 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking.  Cancellations made 48 hours before and no-shows are liable to pay the balance of the evening.
Cost includes dinner, drink & nibbles – a great deal!
**Workshop loyalty card is not signed & no free classes valid for Saturday Scrap Nights.**

Saturday 12th May 10am-12pm
We all need cards at sometime or another...birthdays, engagements, weddings, thankyou’s, just because… If you’d like to always have a card on hand ready for that special occasion, then come along to this workshop!  We will be making 6 cards, using 3 double sided papers.  It will be up to you whether or not you stamp your cards with a sentiment, either way you are going to love them! You will need your basic tool kit, inks, foam mounting tape, around the page border punch set, border punches - 3 different ones, stickles (glitter glue), strong adhesive (like Pritt), paper piercer, embroidery needle and if you have them - a hot glue gun and scoreboard.
Pictured is just one of the six cards we will be making.  The best part - you get to choose your own colours!! (Do you like my florist frog?  My find whilst away over Easter. Perfect!)

Many of you have commented on the fact that I have been only putting sneak peek photos on here and not the whole page.  The page is on display in the shop the week before the workshop for you to look at and work out what photos you'd like to use.  All the details of photo sizes and what you need for the workshops are in the newsletter plus I repost it on here each week for you as a reminder.  I put up sneak peeks because people have been copying the layouts without ever coming to workshops.  I put a lot of work into the layouts to teach to you each week.  You are paying to come to my workshops.  While it is a compliment that people like to copy my work, it is also my income, so if people don't come to workshops, I don't get paid.  If you would like to do a page and you can't make the workshop, a photo and basic instructions are available for $10.  This is a service I have offered for several years and quite regularly send instructions off to country ladies who can't make it into Adelaide for workshops.

Hope you all have a great weekend!  Looking forward to a nice quiet relaxing one myself :-)

Happy Scrapping,
Mandy :-)

Next Week ... 23 April 2012

Hello lovely people,

Last week of the school holidays, back to work next week!!  I have been scrapping like a mad woman possessed...you're sure to love the new workshop layouts!!!  Busy, busy here, running around with back to school stuff for the kids, hospital visits, orthodontist, grocery shopping and cleaning...well actually, I am making the kids do the cleaning as my shoulder is playing up quite badly...honestly...that's my story and I'm sticking to it!!  Daniel has scrubbed my oven for about 2 hours now - best $1 I ever spent!!!

I have set up a page on my website so that you can pay your deposits for workshops, scrap'n'roasts and special workshops.  Just click here and you can go straight there - check it out! Nice and easy :-)  You will also find the link if you click the title of the workshop/scrap'n'roast too.  You don't have to have paypal use this function - you have a choice at the checkout.

For those of you who have DSLR cameras, here's a cute cheat sheet from Debbie Hodge for you to help remember!! :-)  Love it! (Click on the pic for a larger version, then right click your mouse to save image to your computer to print out later.)

The Introduction to Copic Markers workshops are on soon and places are limited.  If you are interested click here to book in or click here to contact me.
