Next Week ... 19th May 2014

Hello everyone,

Are you enjoying this unseasonably glorious weather we've been having this week?  Just beautiful!  All my washing is up to date, the house has been open and airing during the day, even got a little gardening done :-) Really makes you feel good, doesn't it?

I am now working on a Thursday morning, so girls don't panic if the doors not up, I will probably be arriving home at the same time as you :-)  I shall have to get into the habit of getting the room all ready the night before.  So if you need to ring me, try not to do it Monday, Thursday and Friday mornings as I can't always answer my phone at work.

Next Week's workshop is ...
Banners and Bunting Aplenty   $20
This is such a cute layout, with so much potential for fun!  The bunting hangs freely at the top, so it will move when the page is turned, with the odd sized banners to accent the main photo - this page is ready to party!!!  You will need 5 photos, all @ 4"x6", 2 portrait and 3 landscape. You will also need a border punch, journal pen, 1 - 1 1/2 circle punch, circle cutting system (about 3" or so), a title (which goes in the 3" circle) and your inks.

ArtJournaling   $28
Friday 23rd 1-3pm and 7-9pm
Life is a Beautiful Thing - isn't it?  In this workshop, I am making up for the lack of an April workshop!!!! We are going to begin by starting a technique book (which is included in the workshop), each month we will do a little starter in our technique book where you can try different media and write yourself little notes to remind you how we did or used certain things.  Then, onto to our layout using the beautiful metallic or pearl paints (included in the workshop) as a background wash, then building up the layers finishing with some washi tape (also included in the workshop). You will need to bring acrylic paint - including black and white, gesso, old toothbrush or stiff bristled paint brush, stickers or rubons for the words "is", "a" and "thing" - in black or white, black stazon ink pad, heat gun, baby wipes and tripletac or gel medium for gluing.  You will also need a small (travel size) spray bottle - you can get them from cheap as chips for a dollar, I used an old glimmermist bottle.

Have a wonderful weekend, enjoying the weather while we can!
Happy scrapping,
Mandy :-)
