Next Week ... 10 January 2011

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

I hope you all had wonderful Christmas and New Year celebrations!  Christmas was very quite here, for a change and New Year was full with friends and family laughing, eating and swimming!

Next week's class already!

Border Punch Madness!!!
Monday 7-9pm; Wednesday 12.30-2.30pm and Thursday 9.30-11.30am
Yes, you read it correctly, I went mad with border punches on this layout!!  Muhahahaha! The effect is absolutely amazing and worth the effort.  I have used 5 different border punches on this layout - don’t worry if you don’t have that many, as there will be some for you to borrow during the workshop. You can also use decorative edge scissors, or even a combination of both!  You will need six portrait photos @ 4x6” for this layout. (Or 4 landscape photos @ 4x6") You will also need your basic tool kit, inks, border punches or decorative scissors and a title - letters no more than ¾” high as they are going onto bunting (flags on a ribbon!).

The first Scrap'n'Roast for the year is tomorrow!  I have been busy fossicking through some 1970's and 1980's photos that my mum sent over with Christmas gifts.  As with most photos from that time, they are predominantly brown!!!  Thank goodness the photo processing today is much more colourful and stays that way! There are no spots available for tomorrow's Scrap'n'Roast or for the next one on the 22nd January.  Stay tuned for the new newsletter with dates for more Scrap'n'Roasts!

Girls who ordered the Cricut's are going to be in cricutty cutting heaven next Wednesday!!!  I can't wait to see what sort of creations they come up with.

Core-dinations has been all stocked up - not many holes in the racks now!  Only a few bits of stock came in, mostly new papers....

SALE SALE SALE SALE SALE

For the month of January all the single sided patterned papers will be on sale for 75 cents a sheet!!  That's right $0.75 each!!!!  We need to make room for some more paper racks to hole all the new double sided patterned papers that are coming in to the shop.  Great time to stock up for your Scrap'n'Roasts page kits and those Attack Your Stash Workshops, not to mention for when you are scrapping at home or with friends. Come in and SAVE!

Remember - Kid's Workshop is on the 18th January.
Want something to do with the kids?  Come along and help them scrap their own page!  All they need to bring are five portrait orientation photos.  Everything is supplied.  They will learn how to use a trimmer to measure and cut their papers.  We will also be inking and using the cuttlebug to cut out our title and some other embellishments.
Bookings are essential.
Parent/Carer must stay with the child/ren they have booked in - no exceptions.

Well, that's all for this week.  Hope to see you soon.
Happy Scrapping,

Mandy :-)
