Next Week ... 16th September 2013

Good morning, good morning :-)

What lovely spring weather!  Everything is blossoming, my wisteria is covered in gorgeous purple blooms and the freesias...such an amazing perfume!  There's even little mulberries on my mulberry trees :-D

Daniel turned 18 and bought his first beer!  He couldn't drink it all - he was trying to be all man about it, but I don't think he liked it all that much, lol!!!  He was super surprised when he opened his pressies and discovered a PS3 - Gavin, being the good dad he is, had been talking to him and saying don't get your hopes up, money's really tight, whatever you get you'll like, etc....!!!!  So Daniel was completely unaware of what he was getting - love it!  I had to tell him to go to bed at 1am ;-o  His family/friends party is this weekend, should be a great night.

You would have received an email update earlier in the week with the Mixed Media Canvas.  I am so pleased with how it has turned out!  Let me tell you it looks much better in real life, the photos make it look a bit orange and bright, in actual fact it is very muted. Remember you will be choosing your own colour theme - it doesn't have to be pink and green like mine :-)  There are only 3 spots left for this wonderful workshop.  Part 1 is on the 21st @ 1-3pm.  For those footy mad fans, the second part is 10am-12pm, so you will have plenty of time to get home and ready for the big grand final game ;-)
There are plenty of glimmermist, smooch and color shine in stock if you don't have enough in your stash, as well as paints to match :-)
A fantastic workshop, this is one not to be missed! $80 for an amazing kit bursting with 'stuff' that will ensure everyone's collage of ephemera will be individually unique with plenty of leftovers to use in future projects.  Secure your spot now with a $20 deposit - it's filling up fast!

Next Week's Workshop is ...
Blowin In The Wind   $25
Thursday 9.30-11.30am
Do you remember making paper windmills as a child? I hope so!!  As we are going to be making some and using them as lovely page embellishments on this layout.  We are also going to be using some insulation flashing tape as a border and some had cut embellishments, which I know you will really enjoy. There are 5 photos on this layout - 2 portrait @ 4x6" and 3 square @ 3x3".  You will need your basic tool kit, inks, a border punch, title, your journaling printed out onto a 3 1/4" wide strip of printer paper that is 8 1/2" high - the printing needs to be 3 1/4" from the top of your strip.

The next Scrap'n'Roast is on the 21st September, 4pm - midnight.  There are 4 spots left for this evening of scrapping fun.  Eight hours to scrap to your hearts content!  With Grease and school holidays in October, there will be no scrap'n'roast until November!!!!  Great value @ $20 for a yummy roast dinner, nibbles, drinks and dessert - book now before all the places are gone!

Art Journaling, $14, is on the 27th @ 12.30-2.30pm and 7-9pm.  There's 2 spots left for the afternoon workshop and 3 spots for the evening workshop. Always lots of fun, plus learn fun arty techniques that can be used on cards, in scrapbooking or more art journal pages!

Better be off now and start baking for Daniels party! Hope you all have a great weekend.
Happy Scrapping,
Mandy :-)
