Hello one and all :-)

This week will be an exciting one in our household, my son will be turning 18!  To double the excitement, he will be starting work in his new job on his birthday.  Definitely a week of firsts :-)

The Mixed Media Canvas is nearly finished, here is a look at it before it gets all coloured up.  Bookings are open for this fun workshop, run over two weeks, starting on Saturday 21st September.  The cost is $80 which includes everything except gesso, glimmermist type sprays, paint and your tools.  Let me tell you, you will have enough leftovers to do plenty more!!!  Maybe another canvas, a book cover (like my diary), an art journal cover, actually the possibilities are endless!  Kits are limited so book now with $20 deposit to secure your place.

Attack Your Stash   $10

Thursday 9.30-11.30am

I went to town in my stash drawers this month!!!  So many layers upon layers, it looks so good!  You are going to need 1 4x6”photo, either orientation, your basic tool kit, inks, a punch around the page border punch set, another border punch, foam mounting tape, circle punch (about ¾” or 1”) and a title.  Supplies needed are -

Background - 1 x cardstock full 12x12” sheet

Contrast 1 - 1 x cardstock full 12x12” sheet

Contrast 2 - 1 x cardstock or patterned paper full 12x12” sheet

Contrast 3 - 1 x cardstock or patterned paper full 12x12” sheet

5-7 different papers and cardstock to cut up for layering pieces @ least ½ sheet of each

Embellishments - I have used flowers, diecut lamppost and ribbon

Frame - I have diecut a frame from cardstock

I know many of you really enjoyed making the scrap junk album. If you're interested in making more then you are going to need yourself a Cinch machine.  They are back in stock at the wholesalers, probably not for long though!  If you are interested they are $169.95. Ask to see mine next time your in, this is slightly different from the zutter machine we used in class - easier to use, punches more holes at a time and a lot more stable.  Christmas isn't that far away!!
