Next Week ... 25 July 2011

Well, school holidays are nearly over!!!  It's been a cold and indoorsy holiday break in which I have not got much scrapping done, grrrr.... too busy referring the arguments and constant fighting!  We had brief visit to Melrose, Flinders Ranges were it was even colder than Adelaide - thank goodness for campfires (and toasted marshmallows!!)  Here's a few of the snaps I took over the weekend...
Abandoned Shepherd's Hut, still used by bushwalkers on the Bartagunya property.
Stopped track-side to put out fire from other 4wd'ers we had just passed!
Only a little bit of mud on the tyres!!!
Through the creeks - had to wash all the mud of the tyres and the car!
Roaring fire in Gavin's latest creation - nice!

This Saturday, 23rd July, there is a Christmas in July Scrap'n'Roast if you are interested.  $16, 4pm - midnight.  Dig out your Christmas hat and have a fun evening of scrapping!  Email or ring to book now.

Next week's workshop is ...
Quilter's Dream   $19
Monday 7-9pm, Wednesday 12.30-2.30pm and Thursday 9.30-11.30am

Have you ever stared at a quilt, lost in the optical illusions of patterns?  Even if you’ve never quilted before you will be able to do this simple “cathedral window” effect.  You will need 2/3 landscape photos @ 4x6”.  You will also need your basic tool kit, inks, a title (I cut mine from cardstock using my cricut), approximately 35 brads or small buttons or bling bits - for the “quilt”, paper piercer and any other embellishments you might like to add (I used a boarding pass, which is not in these photos!!!).

Saturday 30th July is Scrap'n'Roast night with only a couple of spots left.  $16, 4pm - midnight.  Email or ring to book in.
New stock just arrived -
  • Range of Glitzin' Glamour - 14 glitzin' colours!
  • New decorative corner punches from Martha Stewart - these will be handy for the next mini album workshop in the new calendar, shhhhh!
  • Three new paper racks which means 30 new papers!!
  • Top up of Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive
I have started an account with another wholesaler/manufacturer who makes the X-Press tape we all love so much, as Print Blocks no longer sells it.  Coincidentally, they are also the Australian wholesaler for Copic Markers - yeah! Have to save up to buy the initial stand and markers (72 colours), then I will have them in stock for all of you who have been asking.  I have also put my name down to do the Copic Marker course in Melbourne so I can be recognized as an authorized dealer.  All exciting!
Looking forward to seeing you all back at classes next week!  Remember the extra scrap'n'roast this weekend if you can't wait until next week, would love to see you there.

Happy Scrapping,
Mandy :-)
