Christmas Banner Swap

Christmas Banner Fun!!!

I've had a few questions about this swap...hope this answers your questions.
  • Your banners don't have to be exactly the same.  I would suggest having a plan or doodle for your banner and keep them roughly the same layout, as it makes assembly easier and you only have to come up with one idea, but you don't have to use the same papers or embellishments on each one - just the same letter.
  • Yes, you can do more than one letter.  If you'd like two banners, then you can do two letters.  You've got yourself a lovely present for someone and one to keep for yourself!
  • The banner does have to be the size of the template I will provide.  That way all the letters that make up the banners will be the same size.
  • We will stick to a traditional Christmas colour scheme of Red, Green and Gold.
  • Yes, you can invite friends to be involved - the more the merrier! If they are not in Adelaide, then the banners will have to be posted to either you or me with a stamped self addressed envelope for their completed banner to be returned.
  • No, you don't have to include ribbon with your individual banners.  When you receive your completed banner back, you can thread with your own ribbon - in one length, or tied individually, it's up to you.
Here's the blurb again for you :-)

How would you like  a Christmas banner to hang somewhere around your home this Chrissy???  Here's what I am proposing...
There will be either 9 (for - CHRISTMAS) or 14 (for - MERRY CHRISTMAS) people in this swap.
Each person gets assigned 1 letter and you make the required number of banners.  Once done, they all get swapped!  (Kind of like an ATC swap.)  Pretty neat, hey?!  We will have basic guidelines - colours, size of the banner, where the eyelets will go, but the rest is up to you. Once you have finished, they all get given to me and I collate them into their words and you get the whole word back...you end up with a banner spelling out the word Christmas (or Merry Christmas) that you can string up for a cute, unique, one of a kind, hanging decoration :-)  (okay, 9 or 14 of a kind - but that's pretty close to one of a kind!!!)  Please email or see me during workshops if you are interested.  A couple of weeks to think about it, then put your name down by the 28th October.  Details will be given out on the 1st of November and you will have until the 1st of December to give the banners back to me for distribution.  It's going to be fun!!! There is no cost to join in with this swap, accept your materials making the banners - which can come from your stash - a great way to use up heaps of scraps!

ONLY 7 MORE DAYS TO GET YOUR NAME ON THE LIST!!!!

At this stage there's not enough people for this to go ahead, which will be a real shame.  If you have been thinking about it, please let me know.

Happy Scrapping,
Mandy :-)
