Next Week ... 4th February 2013

Hi everyone :-)

Are you back into the swing of things now that all the children are back at school?  I am enjoying the quietness around my home and I am getting sooooo much more done!!

Have you read the General Information on Page 4 of the latest newsletter?  Here it is -

General Class and Booking Information
Workshop spaces are limited so bookings are essential! Workshops are popular and often fill up quickly. I am more than happy to take your booking over the phone but please remember that a minimum $10 deposit is required to secure your seat.
If you can’t make it to a workshop but still would like to do the page,  I am happy to provide a photo and basic instructions for $10.

Cancellations
Cancellations with less than 24hrs notice will unfortunately forfeit their deposit. If you need to cancel or change a workshop and have given me more than a FULL 24hrs notice your deposit can be applied to another workshop or a refund given.  48 Hours notice is required for Scrap'n'Roasts.

Please note: A Full refund is issued if I cancel a class.

Please do not email or facebook me to cancel your spot in a workshop.  Ring me on 0430 099 198.  This will ensure I know straight away, then I can contact anyone who may be on a waiting list for that workshop.

Remember your class fee includes all materials except your title and photos.
Materials required to complete your projects are supplied and are included in the cost of the class…with the exception of your title and any extra embellishments you wish to add and of course, Attack Your Stash Workshops - where you bring everything!!
You are required to bring your own tool kit. There are a limited number of tools in the workshop area for workshop use.

I will be enforcing the bookings, deposits and cancellation processes when we start back.  I know that coming to my home is fun and just like visiting a friend with a heap of craft stuff, but I am trying to run a business.  The downside is, if I can’t make my business viable I will have to go and find a normal job and I have to tell you - that is not my preferred option!!!

Keep an eye on facebook as I will be utilising this media much more with inspiration, specials and well - just lots of things!  Refer your friends to the group too, word of mouth is the best form of advertising, it can only make workshops better for everyone with more stock on offer.  I know with your help together we can build Made by Mandy Scrapbooking making it better than ever!

Bookings are open for all classes.  Here's a run-down of next week's workshops plus a few upcoming ones during February.

Tag Swap FREE
Wednesday 6th February 12.30-2.30pm or 7-9pm
Here's a cute tag I found on Pintrest :-)

This fun FREE workshop is in the attack your stash format.  Each class will have a theme and you will make as many tags as there are people in the class. You will basically make the same tag, although some elements may differ, depending what you’ve got hanging around in your stash.  A the end of the class we will all swap tags and you will go home with one of your own and one of everyone else's!  Fantastic for using up smaller papers and those embellishments you bought and have never used - yeah, I know you’ve got some!!  For this first swap the sentiment will be ‘For You’ and will be themed - pink, green, wings, flowers.  Start thinking outside the square, ummm, I mean tag :-)

Art Journal  $15
Friday 8th February 12.30-2.30pm or 7-9pm

Art journals are so much fun!  Each month you will get a product to play with and keep.  You can do whatever you like, photos, no photos, draw, stamp, paint, the list is endless…  All you need to get started is an old hard cover book, about 5½”x8½” give or take! If you can’t find one, I have a few spare for you.  Or else you can do as I have and buy an art journal from an art supplier - please talk to me first before you buy anything as I want you get the right type of book. Bring your paints and paint brush or three :-)  Bring along a small jar and lid about ½ cup size.  If you have a heat gun, bring that along too.  Be prepared for some messy arty fun!

Mixed Media Canvas $66($22 a week)
Starting Saturday 9th February 2013 1.30-3.30pm
Many of you have seen the little canvases I was working on before Christmas and expressed an interest, so….here we go!  Over 3 weeks we will be working on a 6”x12” canvas, having so much fun!!!  You will learn a whole heap of background techniques, painting techniques, we’ll give stamping a whole new meaning!  Included is your 6”x12” canvas, jar of tripletac, one4all black paint pen, texture kit, Sew Stamper, papers and more!  I want you to bring some paint brushes, paints - 3-4 colours, go through your old rubons - not the alphas, the other ones and bring along all those unused or half used packets!!  You’ll also need an apron, black stazon ink, a foam brush and a couple of stamps - background types like writing, texture, butterflies, flourishes...
*If you pay for all three lessons at the first workshop, pay only $60!

Card Workshop  $18
Wednesday 20th February 2013
12.30-2.30pm or 7-9pm
This months theme is butterflies and borders!  We will be making six cards utilising the Tim Holtz negative strip die and butterfly punches.  You will need your basic tool kit, score board, inks, a border punch, hot glue gun (if you have one) and mounting foam tape or squares.  You will be choosing your papers, so everyone’s cards will look just that little bit different!  Plus, one of the cards will have a twist!!!  You’ll just have to wait and see, muhahahaha :-)

Have a great week.
Happy Scrapping,
Mandy :-)
