Good morning Happy Peoples :-)
What amazing weather we've been having this week!! I think someone forgot to tell Mother Nature that it's nearly winter here - but let's keep that between us and enjoy it while we can.
End of the first week of Brigadoon. I will be getting ready and heading off to the theatre today for two shows. The show has been well received by the audiences and positive reviews so far. Of course, we are all behaving extremely well in the pit ... maybe ... Plus, not that many lollies this time, only 6 kgs, so far!!!! Our pit mascot, Wally, a large plastic spider who turns up in all different places around the pit, ergo 'where's wally?', is sporting a lovely tartan kilt and matching beret!
The brass section have been arguing over which way Wally should face as they all want to see what he's wearing under his kilt. LOL!!! Like I said, we are behaving ;-P The Band Dressing Room sign has been made and sneakingly hung on the mirror in the hallway and main thoroughfare backstage! We have so many visitors, we are thinking we need a guestbook! More pics soon, stay tuned!
Monday 7-9pm
We are going to be using 6 papers from the cute Nook & Pantry range
by Basic Grey. Also included are a packet of gorgeous stitched brads,
ribbon, epoxy words ... Lots of layers, distressing, inking ... plus we
will be cutting numerous diecut doilies from the papers to add some
real flair and loads of fun! There a part pic below so you can see the
some of the papers (sorry, I'm on my phone and can't seem to put the
photos where I would like!) You will need one 4x6" landscape photo,
inks, edge distressing tool, stapler, notepaper border punch and another not too deep border punch (for under the photo) and your basic tool kit. If you have a cuttlebug or similar and the doily dies, feel free to bring them along so you don't have to wait.
Thursday's Workshops is ... Over the Hills and Far Away $18

Okay - you've just got my sketch, very, very rough sketch here to show you kind of what we will be doing!! We are going to be freehand cutting our hills and layering them on our page for dimension.
